This project was undertaken for Race Developments of Gloucester in February 2011. The aim of the project was to produce traction control triggers for both the front and rear wheels of the RSV4's to operate along side their Motec Ecu's in British Superbikes.

Race Developments informed RB Engineering that other triggers were available but were much heavier than they wanted them to be.

A list of requirements were drawn up as follows:-

1 - The triggers should be at least 50% lighter than the current ones.

2 - They must be strong enough to withstand the rigours of Superbike racing.

3 - They must be priced competitively.

4 - There must be a short turn around/lead time for the project.

Working with the customer on design, prototyping and production of these parts, RB Engineering achieved the desired requirements and were able to deliver the batches of finished components in a very short timescale.

Race Developments have completed many more projects with RB Engineering since then.

These traction control/wheel speed sensors can be designed to suit any bike and offer a huge weight and performance increase over most if not all others currently available.
